About Art for Mental Health

Art for Mental Health is an organization founded in 2020 dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents struggling with their mental health. Stella created Art For Mental Health in the hope of helping students of any skill level to incorporate art into their day-to-day lives. Art for Mental Health provides blogs, mental health resources, and art exercises that can be done at home. Join our movement to prioritize mental health and make something beautiful.

Stella Spound founded Art for Mental Health in the midst of COVID-19 in hopes of providing a resource for teenagers and students struggling with the distress of the pandemic. Over the years, Stella has found a deep passion for art. She enjoys creating pieces related to mental health and its significance in her life. Through art, Stella is able to let go of her anxiety and increase her self-awareness. Stella is a board leader at her school’s mental health program and has professionally taught art to children. She visits children living in transitional housing twice a month and hosts arts-and-crafts time.
